Get to Know Stephanie
Hi, my name is Stephanie Miller, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under supervision. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with a minor in Criminal Justice from Hardin-Simmons University in 2023 and my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hardin-Simmons in 2025. During my graduate internship, I had the opportunity to counsel individuals ranging from young children to adults. For the past year, I have also worked full-time in community mental health, providing case management services to adults and receiving additional training and experience in crisis response.
My work in community mental health has given me the opportunity to connect with people from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. I have experience supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, major life transitions, and other mental health challenges. This work has broadened my understanding of how differently mental health can affect each person and reinforced something I believe strongly: we all come to the table with our own experiences, strengths, struggles, and perspectives. Because of that, I believe in meeting people where they are and taking the time to understand the person beyond the challenges that brought them to counseling.
You are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you how to live it, but to walk alongside you as we explore what is important to you. I value authenticity and believe a strong therapeutic relationship begins with creating an environment where you can show up as yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we can explore difficult thoughts and emotions, recognize strengths and patterns, identify what matters most to you, and work toward meaningful changes that align with the life you want.
