Get to Know Racheal
I’m a native Texan, originally from the DFW area, and I’ve always felt most at home in the outdoors and around animals. I was recruited to play collegiate soccer at Lubbock Christian University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Playing at a competitive level taught me about resilience, teamwork, and the strength it takes to keep going after setbacks. During my junior year, I experienced a season-ending ACL tear. That injury could have stopped me, but instead, it deepened my passion for mental toughness and healing. I worked hard, made a full recovery, and returned to play my senior season. That experience continues to shape how I support others through life’s challenges.
After graduation, I moved to Abilene to pursue my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Abilene Christian University. I’ve since made Abilene my home and feel grateful to walk alongside others as they work toward greater emotional balance and personal growth.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband, who is a personal trainer and keeps me motivated. I also care for my houseplants, draw as a creative outlet, and am currently training for my first DEKA Spartan Challenge this May. On weekends, you might find me helping my mom care for her herd of mini donkeys.
