Get to Know Sharon

My name is Sharon, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work and my master’s degree in counseling from Midwestern State University. With over 30 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with children, teens, and adults in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, schools, healthcare settings, and private practice.

I have a passion for working with tough teens and women who face challenges managing their emotions and behavior, and I enjoy walking alongside parents who are striving to be their best. My approach is rooted in empathy, with a touch of tough love and humor. I love helping clients find those “ah ha” moments that foster insight, clarify their path forward, and support meaningful change and growth.

I am a small-town girl in a new season of life, and I am excited to put down roots in Abilene! In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching drama TV, and spending time with my pets!
